Park City Limits

Park City Limits encompasses the original historic mining town built around Park City’s Main Street from the Marsac traffic circle out to Kimball Junction.  This area is characterized by rolling mountains, an expanding valley floor, mature trees, a mix of second homes and established neighborhoods, proximity to the two bases of Park City Mountain Resort, and Park City’s Main Street.

Park City Utah is located in Summit County and considered part of the Wasatch Bach, a region in the Rocky Mountains including cities like Park City, Heber City, Eden, and Morgan. Nestled by the craggy Wasatch Range, Park City is bordered by Deer Valley Resort and the Park City Mountain Resort known for fantastic skiing and winter recreation.

Park City is about 32 miles southeast of downtown Salt Lake City and 20 miles from Salt Lake City’s eastern edge of Sugar House along Interstate 80. It’s home to about 9000 residents and is primarily run on tourism, which greatly exceeds the number of permanent residents each year.

Just because it’s a tourist town doesn’t mean that folks don’t live here year-round. The average home prices between $600,000 and $2 million and are primarily luxury Estates, cabins, and high-end condominiums. 60% of residents own their own homes but with the median rent of about $1300, homeowners that choose to rent out their home, especially in the popular winter months, tend to be very profitable. However, there are folks that live here year-round. It’s been rated as #7 best places to live in the state with one of the top 10 public schools and the best place for young professionals in Utah.

Park City has a variety of communities and neighborhoods such as Old Town, Park Meadows and Thaynes, Canyons Village, Silver Springs, Sun Peak, Trailside Park, and Old Ranch Road.

Park City has its own Park City School District rated #3 best school districts in the state. It receives top rating for academics, teachers, clubs and activities, diversity, college preparation, health, and safety. It’s one of the top two districts with the best teachers in Utah and the best places to teach in the state. Some of the top ranking schools include Jeremy Ranch school, Parleys Park, Trailside school, Ecker Hill middle school, and Park City High School.

“Park City High School is an awesome school for academics and sports. The classes are made for students of all academic levels and include AP classes and courses offered by the University of Utah. Not only are the academics great, the sports are too. All most all of Park City High School’s sports teams are high performing. Sports including soccer, golf, football, and swimming are consistently at the top of their region and advance far into the playoffs and in some cases even the finals. Park City is an extremely safe high school. I can’t remember any instances where I felt threatened because the administration, staff, and resource officers go out of their way to protect the students. The school offers clubs ranging from Earth Club to Robotics. All students are provided with MacBook Air to help enhance their learning which I find helpful.
