Kamas Homes for Sale

Kamas

Homes for Sale in Kamas UtahWhen most people think of Kamas they think of the charming western ranching town that is the Gateway to the Uintas.   They picture the expansive ranches, horses and cattle in the adjacent town of Marion as part of Kamas.  It’s true that Kamas has historically been a town of wide-open spaces and ranches with a smattering of Victorian homes, log homes, and newer homes all clustered around a growing town center, but today Kamas is so much more.   To the north is the upscale adventure community of High Star Ranch, located on 1,046 acres, much of which is dedicated open space.  High Star Ranch offers exquisite custom homes, a clubhouse, swimming pool, miles of single track, and equestrian opportunities all backing up to 2.2 million acres of open space in the Uintas wilderness.  The DeJoria Center at High Star is a popular venue for summer concerts and events that is open to the public.  High Star is not a club community so no membership dues are required.

Next to High Star is the ranching community of Marion which offers huge skies, big mountain views, plenty of sunlight and wide-open spaces, all just 20 minutes from Park City.  In the center of Kamas, homes are being renovated, affordable townhome communities are being built, and Main Street is bustling.  Families and full-time residents are flocking to Kamas for its affordability, easy 15 minute drive to Park City and the resorts, friendly, casual atmosphere, light traffic, low density and good school system.  If you haven’t been to Kamas in a while, it’s time to visit again and see why Kamas is the hot new place to be.  If you like Kamas, you might also like Marion, Woodland and Francis.
