It basically expands the city limits of Park City into other areas along Interstate 80, Highway 189, state Route 248, and state Route 224.

Park City School District serves all of the Greater Park City area including the schools of the Park City Learning center, Park City high school, Treasure Mountain junior high, Ecker Hill middle school, Jeremy Ranch Elementary, McPolin Elementary, parlors peak elementary, Trailside elementary, and some preschool and early school childcare centers. These schools are consistently ranked as some of the best in the state.
